The process of creating a widget with Widgy is simple and requires no professional design skills. Once you know what you want, it's just a matter of letting your creativity flow. Adding elements, choosing data sources, applying effects, and arranging them to your liking is all it takes. Repeat this process for each element until you have a perfect widget, then assign it to a widget slot and place it on your home screen - it's marvelous!

In the Widgy editor, you'll find two main parts: the preview and the layer list. When editing a layer, you'll have various sections at your disposal to fine-tune its appearance and data. The preview always displays a live representation of how the widget will look on your home screen, so you won't have to switch back and forth between the editor and the home screen.

Widgy provides an extensive range of elements to create your ideal widget. Additionally, it offers a plethora of data sources, from system information to weather forecasts. You can display these data sources in various formats, including text, charts, and more.

Unlike other apps that limit your creativity with templates, Widgy allows for complete customization and interchanging of elements. You are in control of every aspect of your widget - the only limit is your imagination.

Sharing your widgets is easy with Widgy. You can privately share them with friends or make them public for all Widgy users to enjoy. Sharing options include URLs, QR codes, JSON data, and files. Furthermore, Widgy features an Explore section where you can discover widgets created by other users. In addition to Widgy's website, you can find thousands of Widgy widgets on Reddit (r/Widgy) and Discord communities, providing ample inspiration and browsing opportunities.

It is important to note that Widgy offers optional integration with Apple Health. This integration allows you to display your health data when using specific widget types. Permissions to access this data are controlled through the Apple Health app. As for other permissions, they are optional and solely exist to display the data you wish to see.
